About the event

According to the CDC 51 million people in the United States suffer from chronic pain, you don’t have to be one of them.

SOOTHE is an 8 week innovative workshop aimed at connecting the mind and body to reduce pain and promote healing.

The SOOTHE workshop is a unique combination of pain reprocessing therapy, bilateral movements, somatic movements and tracking, yin yoga, restorative yoga, and various healing meditations.

98% of individuals reported a reduction in pain after pain reprocessing therapy.

What is PRT?

Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) is a system of psychological techniques that retrains the brain to interpret and respond to signals from the body properly, subsequently breaking the cycle of chronic pain.

We will also incorporate various aspects of Yoga  Nidra, Yin Yoga, and Restorative Yoga into each class. This will encourage addressing chronic pain through increased awareness, feelings of safety in the body, and cultivating mindfulness.

We will introduce bilateral movement, somatic movement, and breath work into the pain protocol.  These skills will also help to benefit self soothing throughout the week.

Each class runs roughly an hour and a half *see an outline of the schedule below

In person classes run from 6pm-7:30pm Monday July 31st- September 18th

Online classes run from 7-8:30pm Wednesday August 2nd- September 20th.

Are you a good candidate?

Lets set up a chat virtually or over the phone to determine if you are a good fit.  You can connect with me through email, or visit my website mindbodyit.com.  The group information is under the event tab.

We will go through an in depth pain assessment, including assurance that there is no structural damage that could be causing the pain.  If we determine that you are a good fit for the workshop you will choose between the in person or online classes and get signed up.

How do I know if my pain may be Neuroplastic?

Your pain shifts in intensity and location. You have had pain longer than 4 months.You have ruled out any life threatening medical conditions. You have been diagnosed with multiple unexplained chronic conditions. you have tried surgeries, medications, treatments with little relief. You have had a significant life event/trauma around the time the pain started. your pain intensifies with strong emotions.

What is the cost?

Your investment in yourself is 50 dollars a week.  You will also be eligible for a free hour long zoom yoga class during the 8 week course.  This class runs every Thursday evening at 7:15pm CST.

The only other additional fees would be the purchase of a recommended book, this is not required.
